Literacy Graduate Shares Testimony

​​Below is the testimony of Lidia Jara who came to the United States and subsequently the Literacy Council of Madison County with minimal English skills. Lidia has now received her GED certificate as well as her RN degree from Piedmont Virginia Community College. Lidia remained committed to her academic pursuit of obtaining her GED certficate while working as a CNA in a nursing home, and would like to thank everyone who had a part in her continued education.
